Default underdrive pully

Since I put my asp underdrive pully on, my battery volt meter stays in the middle at cruising, and gets close to the red while idiling at the light. Especially of corse when more accessories are on. Stock radio as well. Now I now why it's doing this, it just seems to do this on mine more than others. So I'm asking if I should get a overdrive alternator pully or stay with thestock one. I'm just not sure if the overdrive alt pully would then make it pointless to have the underdrive pully??!! Tryin' to get some feed back.

Yeah you might want to get one, but if it barely touches the red and you dont notice your lights dimming or anything i wouldnt worry about it too much. Ive heard you dont loose much hp at all from the overdrive alt pulley since it turns so freely

I do notice the lights brighten up when I take off from a stop. i just hope it doesn't take away hp or any power from the car when it dips in the red. I might just have to step it up to an overdrive alt pully.

But does it defeat the purpose of having a underdrive pully if you have a overdrive pully for your alternator?
