clear honeycomb tail lights?
i saw a picture of a ws6 with clear honeycomb tail lights. i thought it looked pretty sweet..any one now how to do this mod?

I've been told noone make taillights like that, but if you want a pic with clear tails...Photoshop is the way! lol I've been thinking 'bout that myself too, tho. I think if you took the red lens off the taillight and heated a piece of Lexan, you could form your own clear lens. Then mask off a billion octigons on the inside side of the lens and spray black paint over to make the honeycomb. If I can get myself a old taillight for cheap I'll try it and let everyone know how it turned out, maybe make a write up...IF I can get one. Swat

It can't be done with the OEM lights, because of the lenses, the honeycomb taillights are a two piece design, which consists of the housing/reflector and the red lenses. The LT1 taillights were a three piece, housing/reflector, middle red part, and the clear outer lenses, which if you separate them and remove the middle red part leaves you with clear taillights.
