i changed mine shortly after i went from a F-11 to a MS4. the MS4 kicked my crane duals straight in the ***! lol
oh well i learned to always change springs when going to a moster cam! lol
with a MS4, i'd say you should change them at least at 10k miles... that cam is pretty hard on a lot of things.

Honestly it depends on the cam, a stock cammed/rocker motor can go the life of the motor, but when you put aggressive ramping lobes, long duration, high lift, it beats the **** out the springs.
Its recommended you change every 10-12k, or if driven less, ever 2 seasons. This is to ensure no valve float potential or spring breakage.

"Precision Race Components Double Spring Kit
Texas Speed Hardened Chromoly Pushrods
This combo is perfect for customers wanting a double spring that can take years of abuse & lift up to .660"
Well this is quoted from texas speeds website. a few years for my car would only be like 10-15k miles if that but years for some people would be 50k miles.
I would hope that after installing things everything would be good for at least 20k miles no matter how many years that takes to get to.

When you install new valvesprings you should check the installed height along with the open and closed pressures. I've never seen them check out at the right psi at the specified height. Close but always wth deviation. After the springs break in they normally drop some pressure. On all the chrome silicon springs I have tested they seem to drop on average 6-10 psi. I will usually reshim them once broken in to the desired installed height and pressure.
As to a change interval my Patriot Golds approaching 20K miles on my TR224 have only dropped a few psi over the baseline. On hard run endurance WOT marine engines i've seen top quality Isky chrome silicon springs only drop 1-2 psi with 130hrs WOT on them.
If you don't have the ability or will to check your springs I would change them every 10-15K.
