Has a Z28 hood but it doesnt look like a real Z, non original paint, no interior, t tops(downside for me IMO).In this area that is a $1800 car.

It looks OK I guess, I wouldn't pay $4500 though. No way. It's a $2k or less car.

It's so easy and common to move body panels on these cars, you'd have to get at the tag to see if it's a real Z28 or not. The wheels are from an 80-81 Z28. Too bad no center caps though, those damn things are expensive (like $30 ea).

Agreed that you shouldn't be paying more the 2 grand for the car based on the photos.

It does have the correct hood, fenders and louvers for a 78-79 Z/28, but all the front spoiler stuff and rear 1/4 wheel opening spoilers are missing, and that adds up $$$.

Wrong headlamp and parking lamp trim pieces on it for a Z/28 (should be black), as well as the parking lamps themselves (should have a chrome bar across the center).

The T-top option is something you see more on Firebird/Trans Am models more than Camaros, although 33,000-something Camaros were ordered with the CC1 option Fisher T-tops in '79.

Guy is dreaming 4.5k for no interior????

Brother got one that looked that good for 15 hundred. And it was a z and t-top. Ran like crap though.

I wouldn't pay more than 2

I would say if you have to have it $2500. Fair market value 1200-1500. I sold one of those in 91 for $1100 with new paint and perfect interior...How times change.

Has a Z/28 grille, hood and holes where the front ground effect would be, but has Sport Coupe / Berlinetta bezels. Has a wrong emblem on the rear (it's from a 1972). If it has no interior and looks like it might need a little bit of work I'd say it's worth no more than $2,500. Someone also did a **** poor job aligning the rear spoiler, too. I'm going to guess its eather a Z/28 missing some of it's factory peices or it's a Sport Coupe / Berlinetta with some later added parts. If you go look at the car again, copy down the numbers on the firewall and PM me, I'll decode it for you.

If you're not sure what I'm talking about, here's an example.

We just bought a 1981 Sport Coupe for $1000, pretty mint interior (305, TH350).

Peace,
James.

I wouldn't pay anywhere near $4500, guy is probably trying to jump on the bandwagon of rising prices on second gens.

I didn't think there were any of those left. I figured the last one was either wrecked , crushed or rusted away years ago

Oh? I don't see how you can crush, wreck or let 833,346 rust away. (1978-1981 Camaros).

Come to AZ or any rust free state. These cars are still all over the place and can be had for a song.
