a (1)head bolt in the block and left it like that and continued installing there heads? its a dumb ? but im curious also what can be the consequences? i was already thinking of replacing the block so i wouldnt have to mess with the broken bolt!

if your saying you broke a head bolt off in the block and want to not use it, I would suggest otherwise. Is it a small bolt or a large bolt? Anyways, GM does sell a kit to repair it, invest in it and fix it right.

I would not leave the bolt out. I assume the engine is still in the car? Which cylinder is it by. If you can a drill in there you should be able to get it out with an EZ out.

When my car was stock, I spun a rod bearing. I was taking the motor apart and the was head bolt that look like it had been broke off since day one. Personally I wouldnt try it, but my car never leaked.

Default head bolt

Why dont you just pull the head off and use vise grips and spin it out. That stuff happens all the time. If that dont work drill it then try to retape the threads if there not messed up that bad

Personally I would remove the head and get that bolt out but if one person wanted to not worry about it and leave it in there its kinda a hit or miss. It may cause a problem it may not. Can be a gamble. Worst case is that you blow a head gasket.

Its not worth the risk when you can easily pull the head off and just get it out with some vice grips.....
