my sbc don't wanna stay on!
Ok well I have an s10 with a 350 sbc and every time I turn it on I have to have it like @ 2300rpm. For it to stay on untill its warm. Then it idles @ 1400rpm. But this time I did everything the same. And I took it out of my garage did a burnout it turned off and it turns on only if I keep it about 2000rpm. If I get the trottle go it turns off. And the battery is charged and there's like 6-8 psi of fuel pressure. So what can be wrong?

what octane did you have the timing set for? that may be your problem
also check your vaccum lines and make sure there all connected good with no rips/tears. does it run smooth without sputtering @ the 2k rpm?

well i guess its for the 110 since the old owner said he used to run nothing but 110. and there is no vacum lines no where there is a small port on the carb thats blocked off with a peice of plastic and its not ripped. and when its at 2k rpm its fine no sputtering or nothing as soon as i let the trottle go it dies. and theres a port on the distrutor like the one on the carb should i connect them?

the ones that are not connected are for the vacuum advance, you shouldnt need to worry about them if its tuned for high octane. im not sure what gas you have in there now but try 110 and see if it runs better or start messing with the timing
