installed pacesetter lt's on my car. passenger side slid up easy once the car was high enough, drivers side was kindof a pain. didnt have to remive the steering shaft but i did have to cut a tab off the block. like what was already said, take your time and if you get pissed take a break.

good luck and have fun

OK so far I have the exhuast off and Have half of the passenger side header bolts loosened. It took us longer to get the car lifted and get the cats off than anything so far, Now the trick is getting my hand down to the dang bolts (10mm) on the headers, All the other stuff has been 13mm & 15mm so far. Ill get more pics ect...soon

Keep at it man! I'm gonna be removing my current headers and y and replacing em with Pacesetter's and a new y in 2 weeks. Definitely snap some pics of the progress. GL with it man. Take it slow and steady and it shouldn't be too bad

Make sure you have the car 2' + in the air.. If not, you wont be able to get the LT's up from uner the car.

having fun yet?! Headers aren't that bad to do, just takes some patience and a little bit of bloodshed. Are you doing motor mounts or anything while you're in there?

Be easy with those header bolts you dont want to break one! If one feels like its never gonna move use some PB blaster or WD-40 and soak the bolt give it some time then try again.

On the header bolts we used an air ratchet on the last 2, they came right out!

there should be a single bolt to holt it to the block and you gotta have someone in vin diesel shape to yank it out/twist it from the pan

you using a gear wrench on the header bolts? itll help ALOT!

well the 10mm gear wrench will be a lifesaver for the header bolts.

LS1 F-body oil dipstick tube mounting bolt (m10x1.25x25)
thats the size of the dipstick bolt. the gearwrench will also help you out too there, unless you can fit a small ratchet in there.

This thread reminds me of when I decided to do headers, I thought "I bet they would go in easier with the heads off so I should buy heads" then I thought "If I buy heads I should do a cam"...... it snow balled into alot more than headers because I was bored on the internet. Ha Ha
