Default 335 Hoosiers...Someone help me make them fit.

Alright guys...bear with me. i Bought some nice new wheels, and ordered 2 315 Mickey Thompson drag radials. of course when i order them from jegs they tell me that they will ship out soon, well now the backorder date has been pushed up to 2 months from now, and i simply cant wait for 2 months not knowing if they are going to push it back again. so basically heres the deal. 2001 WS6, stock height, 17x10.5 TTM's. Can it be done with adj. phb and BFH? BFH is already done, and theres more that i could do. went a little conservative when i did it. not afraid to run spacers and put in new wheel studs if i need to either. of course my other options are 315 hoosiers and 315 BFG drag radials....but i like big. help me out guys, it'll be like an experiment. then i can tell you what it really takes. i promise pics!

335 hoosiers will fit better on a t/a, but they're still very wide. I had some 315 hoosiers on my old 99 z28 and they fit the 17x11 zr1s nicely. BUT I didn't ever drive the car in the rain and wouldn't advise it. If you think you'll get stuck in the rain, go with the BFG 315s.

Mini tubs, flares, and a 12" wide rim and you are golden. Other than that 335's will be be so wide they will have to stick out of the well to fit.

noooooo

any more ideas? basically it boils down to

-i wait indefinitely for my MT's that i ordered
-i wait indefinitely for Hoosier 315's....which puts me right where i already am
-i take a risk with Hoosier 335's and see if can make them fit
-i do 315 BFG's and try to pick up the tattered pieces of my heart thanks to MICKEY THOMPSON

will i be happy with the BFG's?

My friend DD's on BFGs and seems to like them really well.

Sucks about the hoosiers, guess they're outta stock by default due to the MTs being out for a while now.

yeah i was really hoping that maybe a 1/4" spacer + bfh + fender rolling would be enough but i suppose if it was that easy then a lot more people would have done it by now.

Foe what its worth I ran the 315 BFG's DR's on my old Turbo Shop car. Made 561rwhp/564rwtq with 8lbs of boost. They had no problem hooking from a roll. Ran them to a 10.91 @ 131 in the 1/4. All done on 17x11 ZR1's.

I'm running a Kumho 335/35/17 on my street wheels. Some BFH'ing and rolling of the fenders got them to fit. The BFH'ing was not anything extreme just trial and error enough to get them to stop rubbing. I have non adjustable BMR lca's and stock PHB.

you dont happen to know the section width on yours do you dopefedz? i know you have the CCW's so your offsets probably more spot on. mine are 17x10.5 with 46 mm i beleive. hoosier is claiming 13.5-6 section width on these 335 tires btw.

pretty big tire for that wheel. Even if you were to have it fit, I'd reconsider due to the small width wheel. A 12" wheel is better suited IMHO. Tire stability will be better.

The 10.5 is actually a bit small for the 315. You should have considered an 11" wheel.

The Rim Width Range is 11-13 mine being an 11" wheel. The section width they show is 13.5" on a 12"rim. I think I remember measuring my tires and they were over 12" but definitely not 13+ inches.

i was dead set on the TTM's which only come in the 10.5" width or else i would have gone 11" +. of course my original plans were the 315's which are a *little* too big, but permissible. but it looks like its going to be the BFG's for me now. i was really looking forward to the Mickeys but I really cant wait for 4 more months to get some tires. BFG's are about as big at the MT's right?

I made a call to thunder racing today to see if by some random chance they had any, and the guy I spoke to said that M/T pretty much says a date, and a few days before they approach that date set another one. i wish they would just be like alright, your **** will be done on xx day. i called jegs today and had my order for the Mickeys cancelled. however i've read good things about the BFG's and seeing as how i go to the track maybe 4 or 5 times a season, they should be alright.

315-35-17 Hoosier DR's are on backorder, 335's arent. Hell if the 315's were in stock i would have gone for them but I guess with track days comin in the next few months everyone is buying all of that particular size. I ended up snagging some BFG's and im praying to not be disappointed.

hoosiers are set for april 20th. so it looks like the "good" drag radials are pretty much all bought up. im feeling more confident about the BFG's now. im launching N/A with lid, ported TB, borla catback, and Subframe connectors on an A4 so I dont think i'll be struggling too bad for traction. I wont hit the 100 shot until im a little way out of the hole
