Air Temp Sensor - is this needed? I have an LS1 in a 58 Corvette and have installed a Howell wiring harness which as a lead to connect to an air temp sensor. Presumably this sensor is located in an airbox which I don't have. Do I need this? If so, should I buy the sensor and fit it into my airbox near the filter element?

Re: Air Temp Sensor - is this needed? You don't really need this sensor for the car to run. If you wish, you can just plug in a 3.0 kohm resistor and call it a day. The resistor will simulate an air value.
No REAL need to buy the sensor IMHO
