Running a cat on an sts setup?
is it safe to run a cat on a sts setup before the turbo? it is a slp high flow cat and im scared a piece might fly off into my turbo. is this common? should i take it off?

do you think itll be fine for a little bit?i just bought the car and im a little tight on money to pay for some welding. also will the check engine light come on? if so what do i do to turn tha off? i know on my 04 mustang we either got a tune or a "mils" that tricked the computer in telling it, it still had cats.

If your SLP cats are like my DynaTech ones, then they should not be a prob. They are not ceramic inside, so nothing to break apart and go down the exhaust stream. They are usually platinum/gold coated stainless mesh. I've had mine on for 3 years. I would not run the stock ceramic filled cats.
