Default Backfiring during high engine load?

Hi, there. My car recently started backfiring in certain situations that would indicate to me high-load situations. I.E. 50-60 MPH in 6th gear, to a lesser extent 40-45 MPH in 5th gear, and quite often during WOT in any gear. I've not checked anything yet, but I did run some fuel system cleaner with a fresh tank of gas (at a different station) and that didn't help. I will check the plugs/wires this weekend. Any thoughts on what else could be the culprit?

Thanks.
