Offset Lifters?
Have a Gen V 502 block and I'm retro fitting it with solid roller lifters. Everytime I look for lifters I keep seeing offset lifters available. When exactly would you use offset lifters and how would I know if I needed them. Thanks!

I'm using RHS 320cc heads with 2.25/1.88 valves. Why would a large valve require offset lifters? The only thing I can come up with would be for pushrod clearance with the head, but I've never delt with them before so I don't know.

Thanks, so more than likely I don't need them, but it's always good to mock up the heads and make sure. I was originally going to use Crower cut-a-ways, but I was wondering if people have had good experience with the Comp Endurex lifters. Any input? I will spend the $650 if it's truely worth it, but I would rather spend $380 if they will get the job done.

Well I went ahead and ordered the Comps a few minutes ago (888-16) from Motorville for $425 so hopefully everything will work out. If I post back in a month or two with a major problem you'll know why, lol. Thanks guys!
