Default Solid lifter lash question

What is the relationship between cold lash and hot lash?? On more traditional (iron) motors, the hot lash is a little tighter than the cold, but I have heard that the aluminum block/head combo results in the hot lash being looser than the cold.

Solid roller guys, what have you seen??

Has no one with a solid roller motor ever run his valves when hot and checked them when cold, or vice versa??

It kind of makes sense what you’re saying....the aluminum will "grow" more than the stainless valves or chrome molly pushrods so it’s possible that the lash could become looser.....

I'm thinking of going solid roller in the future so I would like to know also....

I agree with Allan here. On my last two solid setups, cold lash to hot lash was .006-.007".
