3500 stall 4l60e need tuning?
ok i just got my car back on the road and was wandering if i needed to tune my computer for the much higher yank 3500 stall converter that i just put in? it drrives great but sometimes dies when revved and just let off of the gas . the rpm drops and sometimes recovers and then idles fine but then again sometimes it doesnt recover and dies. oh and just to make things clear it happens when i have lifted off the gas to idle and when the rpms drop. Also i dont know if it is the same issue but sometimes it seems like it goes into a limp mode and has absolutely no power for a minute or two then suddenly runs perfect?!? an info or stories are very welcomed

Never heard of an issue quite like this. There is some tuning that needs to be done. Some idle tuning is needed on some cars for the much lighter rotating wieght(no more stored energy). You will want to move your shift points some and definately your lock up points. Then the is the stall wall. That will need tuned around also
