Can you re-use ARP head studs?
How many times can you torque an ARP head stud before it's wise to replace them? Had one snap yesterday and we were told that ARP changed their design recently (something like a tapered end..?). The block was covered under warranty for a previous issue, but it doesn't appear the new style studs were used during the rebuild.
Just curious if they fatigue. The stud snapped right at the top of the threads. They were able to get it out, but they're all getting replaced. Another set of 422 head gaskets down the drain too.

Re: Can you re-use ARP head studs?
They used to claim you could use them up ten times on a T/F motor.
However, if I was using them on a LS1 motor, I would check with ARP.
Studs are usually put in "wrist tight". If it could not be removed with an extractor; may have been installed wrong.
