112 or 114 LSA & should I do heads too?
I'm getting research together for a cam swap and have decided on the TR224. Can anyone tell me a HP difference between the 112 & 114 LSA? Also, I plan on running on stock heads for now, but what kind of HP gain could I get from a head swap to go with the TR224.
oh yeah, I plan to have long tubes, with a true dual and cutouts by the time I do this, and will probably change the plugs and wires with the cam install. I do plan on dyno tuning after all is done.
Thanks in advance for the advice.

The 112 has a narrower, more peaky power band with peak power 200 rpm lower than a 114. IMO, the 112 is more fun, but get the 114 if you have emissions testing. Stock LS1 heads are great (compared to old school engines) but there are still gains to be had with ported LS1 heads (probably 20 hp or so.) So IMO heads are optional; if you have the money go for it.
