LTs will give you an additional 5-10 hp over the mids...I had the pacesetter on my old 97 they were garbage...there actually shorty. Only true mids for LT1's are probably the macs. either go longtubes or mac mids, slp shorties or the rk sports. The rest of the shorties are a waste of time imo.

Well man if you look at everyones sig, almost 70% are running pacesetter long tubes. If you were to buy them id get them from jet hot they sell pacesetters in sterling coat for 470 bucks.

I am running pacesetter mids ceramic coated by a local company and running a copper gasket, they are working perfect for me idk about power gains but the only reason i went with the mids is for ground clearance issues on a lowered car and because i did not want to constantly heat up my starter as i did with my previous LT headers LTs do have a slightly different tone but they both sound mean

If you live in a state with emissions then the LT's make it a bitch to put a cat on there in any kind of decent spot.

Like I said in my PM I agree with everyone else....LT's and they aren't that hard to install honest. Just get everything out of the way first and they slide in with no problem. Remember Passenger side comes in from the bottom and the Drivers side comes in from the top.
Good Luck Man!

I've had good luck over the years with uncoated headers, but the last thing you want to do is put wrap on them.

i had pacesetter mids on my stock motor and they were garbage. they gave me more torque but not much horsepower, with the basic bolt ons (cai, gutted cat, flowmaster, jet chip, air foil) i made 286rwhp and 331rwtq through a 6spd on a dynojet. see what i mean?

they make it sound like you have headers but when it comes to doing what headers are designed to do, they just can't hack it. the tube design is crappy. when i first got them and installed them they leaked like all hell, i removed the leaking one to find out the flange was warped 1/4" when i put a straight edge to it. they did send me a new set though and i never sent the old ones back. i have no idea where they are now, the long tubes are a much better product from pacesetter. i run 1 3/4 hooker long tubes with the jet hot coating and they are awesome
