Two Different Sized Wheels? I am looking into lowering my firehawk and giving it a nice stance, but what I am wondering is if any of you not only lowered your cars but went with larger tires in the rear and smaller in the front? Like maybe a couple inches in difference between front and rear?
If so, how does that affect lowering and anything else reguarding preformance, etc?
I want my car to be lowered but sometimes I see lowered f-bodies and the front almost looks higher than the rear of the car.
If you have any pictures or input please post.

I am quite new to the whole lowering and tires thing. Up to this point I've just been researching performance parts. To be honest I don't even know what the 245 or 285 stand for, lol.
Basically I am just feeling this out. Seeing what's out there, because I have always thought that the stock rear tires were too small but the front tires seemed fine..

I have 17 inch c5 wheels in the front with 245/40/17 nittos and 18 inch c5's in the rear with 295/40/18 nittos..The 295,245 number is talking about the width of the tire, The 40 is the profile or height of the tire and the last number is the wheel size. I lowered my car 1 1/2 inches all around with eibach springs and bilstein shocks and between the lowering and my off-set wheel sizes I think it looks very good and agressive. From what it sounds like a set up like that would suit you well.

Different diameter wheels look odd on F-cars, IMHO, since to keep the ABS computer happy the OD of the tire needs to be close to the same, so you wind up with teh front sidewall being taller than the rear sidewall, and that looks funny . . . .
Corvettes can pull it off, since the ABS is designed with different diameter tires.

215/40/18 and 245/35/20 in my sig. it throws off the abs and you will need to pull the abs fuse if the diameters of the tires have roughly 10% or more difference between them.
i've ran 215/35/18 and 215/40/18 for the fronts and 255/40/18 for the backs without abs going out.
i'm not a fan of running the same size tire for all 4 corners unless you want to stay stock. my back is lowered about 1" more than the front to tuck some tire.
18's and 20's in the sig BECAUSE I CAN!!!!!!
