Default hoosier QTP's on the street

i did a search but couldn't find much. is it ok to run Hoosier QTP's on the street they are DOT approved but it says they are not recommended for highway use. is there anyone running these on the street that can give me any adivice. the car is only driven on the weekends and in good weather. i was thinking of running a 26-11.5 on a 10inch prostar but i was wanting a little input from people that are using them.

thanks
Jeremy

they will be fine on the street. what Hoosier is saying is they are not intended for street use like a typical street tire. being DOT approved they are legal to run on city streets. don't drive too much on them, even when ur not doing burnouts they are still gonna leave rubber behind every mile u drive on them.

mine dry rotted quick after i left them on the car but it would sit all week an see 100 miles on the weekends. they wore out quick and would sway bad if the didnt have over 25 psi on the highway. dut i dont have a front sway bar either.
