Question Any had a problem with upper mount bushing...

...when doing a front shock swap? My mechanic told me the stock ones were all crusted over with dirt and mud and he could not get them off. He said replacement ones would be $125 each. Does this sound fishy?

125$ea for gm replacement. I bought my new ones from Autozone. $45 each they are made by Monroe so they are quality.
