I wanna run 12.0s
I am wanting to run consistant 12.0s for true street in the NMCA and i was wondering what can get me there and keep me there. Here is what i have now. I want to keep the ac and only have to take my back seat out.
1995 Z28
117,XXX miles
Freshly rebuilt tranny w shift kit, good valve body
2500 Stall converter
Hypertech Programmer and Plug-in module
160 degree thermostat
Flowmaster Exhaust
3" ORY
3.73 gears
Spohn Panhard Bar
Spohn Lower Control Arms
Lowering Springs
Weld Drag lites 275/50/15 et street radials and skinnies up front
I was thinking about spray but not sure how consistant it will be. i need my car to be able to do a 30 mile cruise only 30mins to cool down afterwards without an external power source and then make 3 hot laps.

If you're looking for nitrous and want to be consistent then I'd say you should look in to a nano kit... Nitro Dave's (a sponsor to the right or in my sig) has one and the reviews on them are very impressive.. If I had the money/setup to run nitrous then I'd definitely pick one up.

You can either go with nitrous which would be safer than taking a chance with a cam install on your stock bottom end. If I was in your shoes, Id go with a custom grind cam and just freshen up the bottom end with new rings/bearings to make sure everything is fine. Youd be able to be more consistent and might even go 11's.

consider going to drag springs and losing the full exhaust. there are loads of people running in the high 11's low 12s that have fairly basic setups, just poke around and you'll find them. its going to take some serious weight reduction and a lot of properly matched parts to do it on motor though.

Well, it's all about suspension, A customer of mine had a BONE stock LT1, (less street tune) all it had was a stall, long tubes and a lot of suspension work. He ran 13.00, 13.0x all day long and with a 100 shot ran like 12.02....... Needless to say he won a lot of bracket races....

You want to be consistent, than as mentioned, your going to need a Nano system to go with the nitrous. Add that to the cost of a quality kit with all the bells and whistles and a dyno tune and you will use up that 2k in no time.
