Default Pro5.0 w/ short stick problem...

Yesterday I installed the Pro5.0 and short stick I ordered from WS6Store on my 94 Z28. Well the issue is that in 1st or 2nd gear the shifter sits in the center of the shifter opening(no big deal), but in 5th and 6th it sits against the right side of shifter opening, and going into reverse the whole console moves to the passenger side. Is this normal? I havent read of anyone having this problem, or maybe it just doesnt bother anyone else. And before anyone brings it up, yes the handle is bolted to the drivers side of the shifter. Any ideas on what the problem is?

And no the trans isnt sitting to one side or the other, the shifter is centered in the opening in the floor.

Its because the shifter handle they made is straight, where as the Pro 5.0 and some other sticks are angled toward the driver to center the handle up in the console. I have a cut down Pro 5.0 and ordered a WS6 store stick, but it wasn't comfortable, so I might try a LSS or just keep the cut down Pro 5.0 handle it for now.

^^^ exactly I just cut my 5.0 stick down a couple of inches or so. It's got enough thread on it to do so.
I thgink there are also places here in the sponsors list who sell the angled short stick.

The tranny that I bought has the pro 5.0 handle cut down but the **** won't thread on right there are only about 1/4-1/2" of threads and when you tighten the **** down it twists. I don't know if the **** is the problem or its the stick. What are some options for new sticks and some websites to get them?

Sorry for the thread jack

Or anyone want to trade a stock pro 5.0 stick for my cut down one?

I had to heat my ws6store short stick and bend it towards the driver side.
This stick is a bad design in my opinion.

Now I have a steeda triax stick and it is the best I've ever had.
