Default crank hub pullier

what puller did u guys use to get the crank hub off?(3 claw) brand/part #

doing a cam swap and just want to have all the tools ready

You'll need a long 7/16 X 20 bolt. Cut the head off, thread it into the crank. The puller will need to push on this bolt. It'll help if you dimple the center of the cut end of the bolt.

This is needed as the stock damper doesn't have an opening the size of the crank like standard SBC's do.

Somehow I found a long allen bolt with the 7/16x20 thread laying around that I used.

As for the puller, just the medium sized (I guess thats a size .. lol) 3 jaw from any auto store. Same sized on I use to pull the lower timing chain sprocket off.

I used a steering wheel puller. It's not set up right in the pic, but replace the stock bolt with the 7/16x20 bolt pictured in the first pic and it's will come right off.

Scott, my buddy has one of those pullers and I was gonna grab it from him tomorrow for doing another cam swap so if you want to borrow it its all yours.
