RPM drops and car tries to die during heavy braking? help Well the car runs pretty good but during heavy braking the engine rpms drop to a point were the car sounds like it's going to die and the lights dim. after a few seconds everything is back to normal. what do you think this could be?

I had a similar problem with my tahoe only sometimes it would die and other times it would run the juice down so low that the cd player would shut off. I replaced the serp belt and the battery and everythings good now. Might not work for you, but its a start
