Pushrod length with Morels?
Hi guys-here is the basic-stock LS2 block, AFR 72CC heads, no milling or decking on block or heads, GM MLS 6 Litre gasket, stock rockers-what should the correct or very close pushrod length be with a set of Morels.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Not correct. I measured the Morels and found the length increased (from memory so I may be off some) by 0.030". The preload is much less as well, I have mine set at 0.040". Using those numbers the pushrod length will decrease approximately 0.100". Recommended preload provided to me by Rick Morel was 0.030"-0.050".

You are probably correct. I did not messure the lifters. I thought that they were the same. I just know the Jesels checked out needing the 7.3" pushrod, and yes they do have less preload than most.

I have the numbers some where, not sure if I can find them. For the OP, if you have an adjustable pushrod, what I did was unscrew the pushrod so I had the short piece, set it on the stock lifter and measure between the roller and the top of the pushrod. Then I did the same with the Morel. I just remember the difference in pushrod length between the lifter length difference and the preload difference was about 0.100". Best to always measure though.
