Question Cam or headers?

Just asking the usual question. Cam or headers? I have a little extra money to play with and was looking at the pacesetter's lt's or the hot cam kit. I currently have a stock motor with an SLP Loudmouth on it. I figure if I get the cam that will give me a reason to get the headers. Just give me your imput on what you guys think.

headers. get your bolt-ons and suspension and whatnot out of the way before you start thinking cams.

2 grand for a hotcam kit? try less than 1/3 that. but yeah, definitely headers first

hotcam is not worth the effort imo. you're going to want to to headers first as everyone will tell you.

2 grand. Not hardly. I work for a chevrolet dealership and get a hell of a discount. For the lt4 gm performance heads, Intake and the hot cam kit I think it was like 1100 bucks. But that's only If I buy it through my dealership with my account. Was just curious to see what everyone thought. I figured I would buy the heads and cam. Then here in a few weeks get the ps lt's and y pipe.

I wasn't trying to be rude, but the head and hot cam kit that you can order from summit is like 1800, but for me through our store it's only like 1100. I want the kit, but I guess exhaust will work. I bought this loudmouth, and I don't like the way they sound with headers so I'm trying to put off having to replace it.
