Flexplate
Do I have the 4L80e or the 4L65e flexplate on the LQ4?
I'm asking because I tried to fit a th400 and it was very tight between the converter and the flexplate. There is a spacer between the crank and the flexplate.

I tried again today and now it fit perfect. I dont know what went wrong last time i tried.
It looks tight to install the converter bolts.
My th400 came with a thick aluminum flexplate cover, and that won't fit when the trans i mounted to the lq4. Is it common that the thick aluminum convers wont fit when you have a LS engine?
