Default converter choice

are tci and b&M BAD CONVERTERS? ie used them in my old iroc but thi guy here in town aid they wil mess up a 4l60e is this true

the word on the street nowadays is Vig and Yank are the best two on the market.... some will tell u different but that is what the majority of people believe

i don't have any experience with them, i went with a Fuddle converter and i'm happy with it. I don't htink those converters are going to "screw up" a 4l60e, as they design converters specifically for those models.

it seems on this board yank and VIG are leghumped more than any other company

Yes a converter can take out a transmission, just as a converter should be cut open and cleaned if your trans takes a dump. Plus you should clean out your trans cooler and lines. Vig. and Yank are some of the best out there for us weekend warriors and then some, besides some others that don't sell as many, but are just as good. Did you do a search on your Fuddle before you bought? It's a renamed converter that maybe you already knew, or maybe not?

I have had a tci 3600 in my T/A for nearly 3 years with 0 probs. Works great, but might switch to a Vig 3800. Just cuz lol

My TCI SF3000 stall lost the lockup clutch. (I never locked it at the track or dyno it just died from normal driving) I'd spend the extra and get a Yank or Vig...
