Dynoed my 413 cid L92/L76 setup last weekend
Just thought I would share my results. See my sig for my setup. Last year my car made 470rwhp with the t56. This seemed kind of low to me but I am hoping its just my intake side of the engine that is holding me back. Over the winter I swapped in a th400 and I am really happy with the decision. I redynoed this past weekend with the only change being the trans swap and the car made 415 rwhp. I was def. hoping for more, but I knew the th400 would eat a good amount of power. I am still running the stock untouched MAF. But I plan to switch to a 90mm lid and go to speed density to see if I can get a few extra hp. I am also antiously waiting the production of the new L76 intakes that are supposed to be hitting the market this summer. What do you guys think about this number. By the way I am running a Yank non lock up 4000 converter. The tune is pretty good in the car, steady 11.9:1 AFR and 28 degrees of timing through the entire pull.

I guess I don't understand the question. If you were happy with the 470, what does it matter? If you haven't made any performance changes, the motor is making the same power as before. A TH400 with a non-lock 4000 stall has obviously eaten a ton of your dyno numbers. So what?
There is a guy in my car club that made 390 to the tires with a TH350 and big stall but he still ran low 11's and high 9's on nitrous with stock bottom end.

Im not to frustrated with the numbers, as long as it performs at the 1/4 where it is intended. The cam is the 242/248 from livernois. I think there are probably much better cams for my setup, but when I ordered this cam there weren't to many companies making L92 specific cam grinds. I will eventually swap in a new cam. As far as the 11.9:1 Air fuel ratio, my tuner jsut wanted to set up something that would be very safe and still make decent power. I already talked to him and I told him that I am planning on bringing the car in to get tuned for speed density, and I told him that I would like to push the tune a bit further as far as A/F and timing goes.

take it to the track and see what happens, im sure that th-400 will make up for the HP loss out there. The number may be a little low, but it seems like you still have some power left on the table with a different cam. Those heads seem to like a large split in a duration and pretty high lift numbers. Good luck with your set up, should be pretty stout with the juice on it.
