best head choice?
hey guys i have a 2002 camaro with cam only. i am looking for a set of heads to go with it. the cam is texas speed toquer version 3 ( 231 234 643 598) i was wondering what would be a good set of heads to match this cam

i have talked to them but the guy i talked to didnt really know what to say other than afr is the best... i have heard from freinds they are very good heads but i would liek to find the ones that match the cam. liek should i get 225cc 66cc or 205cc 66 cc or 225cc 72cc? im kinda lost on this guys all input will be helpfull

I would be tempted to run that cam with 5.3 PRC heads. Call TSP and tell them what you have and they will recess the valves if necessary so you can mill/run .040 cometic and gain desired SCR/DCR without flycutting and still safely clear. AFR's clear more than OEM heads so you I think you may still may run a .040 and/or mill a bit and clear but I am not sure.

We typically have great results with the newly updated stage 2.5 5.3l heads from PRC! At right about $1200 for the pair they're pretty hard to beat! We typically see about 45rwhp from bolting them on with a torquer!!

With your cam profile, I would think you would make good power with the Stage 2.5 5.3 heads from Texas Speed. If you're willing to spend a bit more, the AFR 205's and the TFS 215's are PROVED performers and should net excellent numbers. Personally, I was looking for more of a budget head swap, so I went with the PRC Stage 2.5 5.3's. Once I get them installed and get the new numbers, I'll be sure to post.
