Question First 1/8 mile results w new setup

after installing the cam, heads, intake, and stall converter, this is my first run at the track. For some reason they were only running 1/8 mile that night at the track. I had 17" BFG dr's and no other traction mods so my 60's weren't that good. So tell me what you guys think. Here are the results:

1st run

60 FT 1.7757
330 FT 5.2027
1/8 ET 7.9737
1/8 MPH 89.45

2nd run

60 FT 1.8829
330 FT 5.1739
1/8 ET 7.9012
1/8 MPH 90.38

So a STOCK BUICK REGAL runs 8.0's in the 1/8? What is that, 12.40's in the 1/4? Wow, I had no idea my grandmother's car was that fast

x2, 1/8 mile is all about 60's. Im assuming the car is tuned? What #'s are you putting down. Enough converter for your cam? We need some more info. My cam only, stock shitty '99 headed car went 7.2X the other day, and Im still tuning on it.

what's the setup? my bolt-on car went 7.6 @ 88 with mt et street drs on it. mph seems very low for a h/c/i car.

hell the ta went 87 in the 1/8 with the mods listed below...NOTHING else stock tune full weight etc etc.

yeah the car is tuned. Here my exact mods:
MS3 cam (237/242 .603 .609) 112 lsa
CNC ported LS6 heads
LS6 intake
ported TB
42 lb injectors
lid
tci ssf 3500 stall converter
Headers, off road y and exhaust
sfc's
BFG dr's

I see ppl put hard to believe times and et's on here all day. but when I go to the track my car runs right where I think it should for the traction i'm getting and compared to the other cars in this area. I just ordered QA1 coilovers for the front and relocation brackets for the rear. this shud def help my 60 foot times.

i wouldn't necessarily compare your car to others in the area. there were a plethora of people who accused me of using an aftermarket cheater cam or a 25 shot or something...simply because no one could believe the car actually did what it did. the sad thing is, it's not like that z28 i had was all that fast. it hooked well and trapped where it should've for a bolt-on car, imo. i can't believe that driving an automatic would be so tough, but i sold the car literally days after going 12.27-12.30 @ 110+ mph at the local track and the guy that bought it took it out with the EXACT same setup and could NOT break 13s...and was trapping 104-105. that sent a WTF flag up.

i believe your setup should be where in the 94-95 mph range in the 1/8, and 60' somewhere in the low 1.7 fairly easily. that stall is mismatched for that cam, but it shouldn't affect the mph all that much. i'd consider another tune, or simply checking the car over for other problems, it should definately make more power than that.

What gears are you using? What is the shift points? Is it a stock trans?
I fell that your cam is higher in the RPM's than your converter allowsa and that your shift points are to lower to benifit for thr cams power.

Stock gears and transmission. the shift points are set at 6500. I think i just need better suspension and when I get my 60 down the car will run a lot better. you guys agree?

You need a higher gear. How sure are you that your servos aren't starting to slip through shifts? Your MPH is way low for the mods even with crap 60"s it should be higher.
What is your stall 3600 to 4000 I would hope.

its a 3500 stall, so it's good. I know lower gears would help but the 3.23's will work fine untill I decide if I want a 12 bolt or not. What trap speed do you think I should have in the 1/8th?

While getting my car tuned after all these big mods the tuner said my o2 sensors weren't reading most of the time, will replacing these help my car?

I personally don't like the bfg drs. I think the m/t are much better.

i'll agree that the mph and et seem a little off but you need to give more info so guys can help you out. what was the weather(da)? did you hit the rev limiter or pedal it at all? fwiw my car will vary as much as 3 tenths and 2 to 3 mph based on weather alone. every car is different but i would expect to see at least 93mph in the 1/8 with that h/c setup. if your tuner said your o2's weren't switching that isn't a good thing either.
