Default Vig 3600, trans cooler : Do I NEED a shift kit??

Its a bolt-on '02 Z28 w/ 3.23s and I'm about to order a Vig 3600 and a trans cooler. Do I absolutely need a shift kit? If it basically does nothing (I will be getting the car tuned) than I don't want to waste the money. Thoughts??

Kenny they shifts would feel firmer with a shift kit than changing the line pressure in the tune. I would go for the shift kit, it also will help the trans live longer.

if you do decide to install a hift kit (i did and I'm glad) you may need to delete your torque mgt to have it shift right..

you can get the tranny pressure turn up with the tune and that should be just fine for a bolton car
