car won't idle after hot cam install I installed the hot cam this weekend and it went fairly smooth. The only problem is the car won't idle right. We drilled the throttle plate to .250 still wont idle. I heard something about an idle re-learn or something like that. I don't know what else to do accept get the car tuned.

I *sometimes* have to rev to about 1500, and lightly let off the gas and it'lll learn it's self out.

Re: car won't idle after hot cam install Your best bet to get the car to stop surging at idle is to have the pcm programming adjusted by someone (like a shop). I wouldn't make the hole in the throttle blade any bigger until you have someone who knows how to do that sort of programming with LS1 edit have a chance at resolving it. You'll proilly be able to squeeze a few extra HP out of your setup with some pcm re-tuning too. good luck

I just pulled mine out.
Gettin the new cam tuned on Friday.
Sad enough it idles better on the hotcam tuning than the hotcam.
