To run this cam on a stock bottom end...
Is carb/intake the way to go for a consistent car??
If not, what's the minimum req's on OEM equip and fuel inj?
I guess fly-cutting is a must have with this, yes?

I'm looking to have an easily tunable, fun weekend car and dependable bracket car....
If I had the carb/intake and the MSD ignition with this came.... could I do the majority of the tuning myself>>>?

You can run that cam with stock bottom end, but you'll need to double check piston to valve clearance, you'll need superb dual valve springs shimmed to within .050" of coil bind and you'll need a very good tune. I'd run fuel injection for consistency in a bracket car.

My cams not as big but similar. Seems to clear so far. Tuning with the MSD box and jetting a carb is pretty darn easy. Everything i have read leads me to believe that would be a perfect cam for a carb style intake as they like bigger durations, lots of lift, with tight lsas.

Yes. I would reccomend a wideband 02 like the LM1 or something that logs as well too. For my cam which is similar to yours i ran a holley hp 750, vac secondary, 72 primary jets, 6.5 power valve, #21 metering block (#75 jets) and thats basically what i have reasearched to be close to being dead on for the setup. I will be converting to removable secondary jets as soon as my kit gets here.
You sould be able to tune it fine. You will need to buy a MAP sensor for the MSD kit but everything else should be fine.

More q's:
I'm assuming my stock rocker's will do for this set-up?
My victor jr/MSD 6010 is on the way, where do I get the above mentioned MAP sensor?
What's the best resource for gaskets? I can get it all @ O'reilly's for +/- $350
Does anyone offer a fastener (bolt) kit for the engine?

Victor JR intake comes with the bolts to bolt it down, no gaskets. Gaskets are the standard o-ring gaskets for the factory intake. They are like $30 from a parts store and the timing cover/water pump gaskets are about $50. So is the oil pan gasket. I have an extra set of engine bolts if you need a bolt here or there but it's not a complete set.
You can get just about any map sensor. You thread a 3/8" (i think it is) barbed fitting into your intake manifold and run a vac line to the sensor wherever you mount it.
I'm using my stock rockers although some aftermarket rockers like yella tella rockers would benifit me and you greatly as the stock rockers are so heavy.

Actually you can use the factory harness to power the setup. The make a conversion harness that will plug into your factory harness to allow your factory tach to work with the box as well as the 12v source and such. I think you have to swap out the computers though to switch to a manual transmisison, i'm not too sure.
Here's the harness you would need.
