Question Can you change how heavy the steering is?

I used my car for long trips and some city driving and I was wondering if it's possible (without getting skinnier tires) to change the amount of oomph the power steering gives to the wheels. I'd just like it to be a little easier to drive.

I read somewhere that there is a way to adjust the steering preload on our cars. Is that it?

Thanks

get your car professionally alligned and the tires road force balanced. it makes the car ride a hell of a lot smoother and it takes less effort to steer the car and prevents the car from being jerked real easy

What is "road force balanced", how does it differ from a standard balance?

it spins the wheels at higher speeds and is more percise on the exact point on a rim to put the weight on. its really good to have done if you drive really fast and race alot. helps with handling also
