Default Paint fades back... WHY?

Ok guys if you could tell me what the problem is I would appreciate it. On my daily driver I had some paint peeling so I decided to repaint the piece. I sanded everything down then I used a high build primer and sanded. After that I used a black then clear followed by more sanding. After sanding the clear to where I wanted it I buffed, polished, and waxed. It looks great the only problem is after a few days the paint will fade back and loose all the shine. I can buff it back to a shine but it will fade again in a few days. Does anyone know why?

All the paint products came from rattle cans I got at the auto stare. I know they are not the best products, but is that the reason it won't stay shiny? I wanted to see what kind of a job I could do with rattle cans. I was very pleased other than this little set back. After I buff and polish it looks great, but it just won't stay long????

its called dying back, ive never used rattle cans followed by buffing but it can be caused by heating the paint up too much buffing it, the paint not being cured enough to buff. i wouldent be suprised if it was the product your using though.

Were you chaning the color or keeping the same color? If you changed the color I don't think you sealed it. If not then it's because of the spay can.

I never had that problem with anything I've rattle canned. I just gave it a few weeks to cure then went to buff it. Never had a problem.

I waited about 2 to 3 weeks then used a real gentle light wax. The meguiars gold class isn't too harsh from what I knoticed, so it's worth a go.

never wax a car after its been painted fresh or it will die back all the time. you have to wait about 30 days to wax it unless your using a "breathable polish." also rattle can isnt the best product either so i mean it could also be why. i mean usually for black i wait atleast a day for buffing so that i dont get imidiate die back. what compounding products are you using?

Meguiars pro stuff. the medium and fine cut, then some swirl remover. then I give it about 30 days for the wax. I just use whatever wax is handy though.
