I saw that from the staging lane, we were there with a 68 Cuda that we wheelstand in that event. The Cuda was on the TV program for the 2006 event and for 2007 we were in the show but not the car but it is featured in the current issue of Car Craft, they did a feature on the event.

Covered in this month's Car Craft. The guy flips it intentionally, launching it on the transbrake at the converter's 6500 rpm stall. Hmmm, I think that would do it!

I know the $$ you get if you win might cover it, but I agree it's not worth the beating IMHO.
