Question Who uses the interface w. a car tuned w. efi-Live?

Like the title says.
I'm having the same issue with 2 different cars, both running efi live and the interface. I'd appreciate any help from anyone else with the same set-up. I'm particularly interested in a log file or at least a screen shot of a log file showing MAF readings, either NA or on spray.
TIA,
Vinny

what is the issue you are having?
you can make changes to your MAF with BEN Factor or
you can straight paste the values of the SAE.MAF PID.
i suggest using BEN Factor though.
are you using the stock ECU or the RR?

Woah, you alreaday lost me.

the problem I am having is that when i hook up the interface, my MAF signal gets spikes down to zero. The higher thte RPM the more freqquent the spikes, which is causing my car to go lean, both na and on spray. The pic below is what I'm talking about. I am also getting the exact same issue with a ls1 2002 Firebird.

This is from a na dyno pull from my 05 gto, with the stock computer. You can see when the spikes start, my a/f from my LM1 reads up to 15:1

I would give Matt a call. Can you let us know where all your toggles are switched to? Probably just a set up issue? I haven't heard of this happening, and to have two cars doing it? Seems that the same issue affecting both cars is more than a coicendence, and both using EFI, and/or both using the same box or seperate boxes? Or is this just one box on two cars? Anyway, just some guesses on my part, and Matt would be the man with the plan. I am sure others have had EFI and the Interface... Why use the Interface when you can have COS 5 anywho...

wow
i didn`t get that from your first post.
are you running a COS?
because i know there is an issue with one of them.
is this happening as you plug in the device or just while you are logging with it?
i don`t see how the device could cause havoc with your MAFs
unless there is some kind of funky ground offset,
but that may even be a stretch.
sorry if this doesn`t help.

I have been talking to Matt, and he has been helpfull, but we don't know whats going on yet, so I figured i try to harness some ideas from the LS1tech users. All the dip switches are set correctly, Matt checked them, and the harness is not physically broken.

Like Andy said, I'm not running a COS... I would if I could, but there is not one available for the Gen IV computers.

I know everyone else seems to be using it without a problem, so I'm not sure whats going on with mine.

It happens all the time, not just while logging. I have two back to back na dyno pulls, One with it plugged i na nd one without. When its plugged in it starts to go lean around 6,000 rpms.

BTW the ait timing retard is working fine though.

Starting to sound like it's a conflict with EFI Live if both vehicles are doing it and both have been tuned with EFI Live. I've heard the way EFI Live rewrites the computer is different, is there anyone else using a Interface on a vehicle tuned with EFI Live on tech?

Also a copy of your actual log file would really help, trying to go off your pic is impossible (please attach it in your ticket).

Thanks,
Matt

Can you also post a screen shot of the way you have the MAF table configured (both lo and high) into your ticket?

Thanks,
Matt

KCJeff is putting an interface w his Dry Plate on his C-5 this weekend, it will be tuned by Joey w/ EFILive as well, have let them know to look for this when they are tuning and see if they can duplicate it.

Won't know if there is gonna be a problem on Jeffs car till next weekend. In regards to the EFILIve comment, it's basically storing the parameters in the pcm the same manner as any other tuner package until you start with the custom operating system structures. When we work on Jeff's car next weekedn I'll make sure to log everything possible and worst case scenario I'll default back to the IAT relay mod and go from there.

The interface is a damn nice lookingand functioning appearance unit though.

I just sent you 3 files, 2 with the interface hooked up and one without.
Of the 2 that were hooked up 1 pull was na, and the other was activated.

Do you have any screen shots with the actual frequency value as it does the reverse spike?

No I don't, but I could log that tomorrow night, as I'll be at the track with the car.

Here is the same thing happening with the 02 LS1 Firebird. Its at a slightly higher g/cyl,than my GTO though.

I know EFI live has a 'MAF Patch' for high frquency maf signals, so tomorrow I'll log maf frequency on my GTO as well as g/cyl, and se if anywhere near the cap.
