Default Throttle Body Colant Bypass PROBLEM

Alright, a buddy of mine(98z28bitcha) and myself did all the free mods yesterday on my car. My problem was with the colant throttle body bypass. We hooked it up and everything look good and there was no leaks.

This morning I go out and look just to make sure, and one of the clamps were resting on the big black thing. (Blue Mark)

So I pushed it away from that. Sorry dont know the name of the part. It looked fine, started it up no leaks were all good.

Then I go to wendys and get some lunch on the way there every time i gave it some gas it would make a whining sound. So i pulled over and to find this.

So I call a friend a we redneck it with a shop rag and some zip ties to get me home.

Now my problem is idk where to get the hose, Bennet, Advanced, Autozone, hell even NAPA doesnt have it. So i get a friend of mine on the phone, he is the part manager at the Cadillac Dealership, and he said he will check to see if they have any on tuesday.

My question is did any one else have this problem? How did you guys route you coolant throttle body hose.

Thanks

Chris

You must be the guy that called when we were swapping hoods.

Most people I read about on here ditch the original hose and run one solid hose.
I keep it and put a splice in it and put that sleeve over to cover the splice.
And I keep the hose on top of the radiator hose.
This is one of my cars, the other one has the hose tied to the orange clamp.

You don't need a special hose, you can get any length/diameter of heater hose at advance/napa/auto zone. If you run one solid hose that is taut, it will not want to rest on the water pump pulley.

Go to any car parts store, buy two feet exactly of 5/16" rubber hose, and two worm clamps. Remove the stock hose from the radiator, and the little one at your engine, then run that length of two feet of hose from your radiator horizontally across, then straight up into the engine, and you won't get any rub. Make sure to clamp the worm clamps tight, especially to the one on the engine.

you had too many pieces for that bypass, that added too much weight and kept the connection loose to the point it'd rest on the belt.

Mine's been bypassed for a year using a simple single brass pipe connector that can be found at any home depot. At this point I think the smaller diameter size of the 2 hoses made of heater hose can be jury rigged to both ends (a bit of force and creativeness will get it on).

I did the same thing(one piece hose all the way). Works very well. The extra piece looked like it would be a pain to do.

I never had a problem with mine.

You need to make sure the hose is for coolant, not vacumn or fuel.
