Wicked heads, matching cam, port matched intake, and the whole bucket of bolt-ons including full exhaust for 500 rwhp.
If you want 500fwhp just a cam and some bolt-ons.

Really good heads (AFR, TFS, etc.)
A pretty large cam that compliments your setup
A well ported intake and TB (FAST 92 setup)
All the bolt ons to accompany (full exhaust, ewp, pulley, etc.)
and a relatively friendly dynojet.

It is certainly possible (there are a few guys here that have accomplished it), however it might take a bit of work (and cash) to get the stars to align!

500 rwhp a4 and a 12 bolt ?? Details, details, we need details. That cam must be huge, or is he spraying a little nitrous ??

The only 346 combo that I have seen pull off around 500rwhp multiple times is the TFS heads with Vindicator Camshaft and a ported FAST intake.

If you are serious about this, then get ahold of Ron at Vengeance.

I would not worry about how much power you can put down, but you need the right combo and what can it do in the quarter mile. I ve heard of people making 500 rwhp and people with 450 475 rwhp blowing them away. There cars running like rapped apes. Its all about the right combo. But if you like bragging rights, I guess that is cool too. Just try to keep the main thing the main thing.
