I got a bad ticking sound in speakers back when I swapped out the stock spark plug wires with a set of MSD's. I dont know why, but the MSD wire set just didnt cut it in my setup.

I've since replaced the spark plug wires with a set of GMPP, no more clicking sounds in the stereo system.

Normally, the ticking sound that you mentioned is the CD reading. it is usually a bad ground on the radio, it can also be the internal ground in the radio.
