PTV, PRC 59cc + TR224 + 0.040" hg
Will this combination of PRC Stage 2.5 5.3 59cc milled heads + TR 224-114 (224/224 .563/.563 114 LSA) camshaft + 0.040" Cometic head gasket work without flycutting the pistons?
I know it will eventually come down to my own application and that I will have to measure it myself, but I want to know if anyone has done this before or knows if this will be an issue or not.
I also tried searching but could not find any threads on this combination. I also tried searching on how to calculate PTV but could not find.
Thanks
Oh and what would my DCR be?

about PTV, Im no expert but my buddy is running milled 2.5 PRC's .040 gaskets and a 233/239 cam w/o flycutting and it clears. by how much im not sure...
I would think the 224 would clear no problems....

Thats a new one on me. I definantly don't claim to be a LS1 expert but I was under the impression that "lift" will control how low your valves will open and "duration" will control how long they stay open. correct me if i'm wrong.

I tried some dynamic compression ratio calculators found on google.
http://www.wallaceracing.com/dynamic-cr.php
What do I put in for ABDC?
Number of Cylinders : 8
Bore in Inches : 3.898
Stroke in Inches : 3.622
Rod Length in Inches : 6.125
Static Compression Ratio : 11.6 (:1) (that's what I calculated from running 59cc + 0.040" HG)
Inlet Valve Closes ABDC : ??º
Boost Pressure in PSI : 0
Target Altitude : 0(Feet)
I get high DCR numbers when I use these calculators. What am I doing wrong?

I'm not sure what kind of calculator TSP uses, but they were able to tell me what my DCR would be when I told them the setup I was planning. Give them a call if you want and they may be able to help.
