mustang swap ?
Yes I have done searches for days on here so please dont say use the search function. I am getting ready to start putting my lsx setup in my 89 couple but there are two things that I dont get. FIrst what are you guys running as far as fuel system and was the approximate cost? Second what did you do about a speedometer? I will be running a 4l60 trans. Thanks

i used a sumped stock tank, aeromotive external EFI pump, and a vette filter/regulator with 6AN lines. i made a gauge panel and used an autometer speedo. the link to my build is in my sig.

I used a 14 gallon aluminum fuel cell, with 8-AN stainless braided hose to a holley fuel pump and holley fuel pressure regulator. That goes into my Barry Grant 750cfm carb. It cost me around 400 for everything .

It can somewhat easily be done at home, there's not much to the wiring

I used the stock fuel pick up with a walbro 255 pump. Where the hoses connect onto the pick-up they are necked down. I cut them off and welded on a length of 3/8 hard line to both the supply and return. I then used 3/8 hard line to AN adapters and ran my braided line. I also used the vette filter/regulator with 6AN lines as lt4malibu did.
As far as the speedo, I used the whole F-body gauge cluster. All of the gauges work but the fuel level, and I just bought a piller pod and mounted an autometer fuel level gauge in it. The Speartech harness is nice. I know enough about wiring to get me hurt, that's why I went the Speartech route. He takes out all of the un-needed crap and makes everthing nice and clean. As I said in the pm, you hook up a Hot, Ground and a Switched and it's running. All of the wires for my gauges, fuel pump (with relay), and fans are pulled and labeled too.
I'll try to get you a few picks when I get home in the morning.

So will I be able to use the stock harness for the 6.0 truck engine I bought, it came the 4l80e and pcm that I will be using. I know I will changing to a ls6 intake so any help is appreciated.

i sent my harness to wait4meperformance and they cut mine down to a standalone unit its cheaper than the speartech but there is more to the wiring on your part but its not that bad

Do i need to order one of these?

Also do I need to change over to camaro coils instead of these truck ones that came on my 6.0? Can I still use my factory 6.0 harness or does it need to be from a camaro? I will not be running ac or ps.

Thie pretty much eliminates the need for a sump and fits the factory fuel pump location, an a1000 and aeromotive regulator + -10 feed and -8/-6 return works great. Pretty simple to plumb a mustang!
