Default Just for Fun Trans Am WS.6 vs C5

I currently own a 2000 Trans Am WS.6 with only 40,000 miles on it! NBM M6 car! Need less to say the exterior is perfect the interior is perfect the car is perfect! It handles very well and when pushed to its limits it really does impress me with the exception of a sticky clutch pedal from time to time during really fast high RPM shifting! I have driven corvettes and have had the oppertunity to push then to their limits too! I personally love both cars but I am not sure if at the end of the day which one I WOULD BE HAPPIER WITH after modding to my satisfaction! Is their anybody that could help me out with this through personal experience which car is more rewarding to modify! Now in order to keep things fair between both cars lets say both cars would get a nice flowing set of heads (AFR's) and a proven cam (TR224), with the supporting mods for each! Now which would you rather have and WHY?
Lets make sure all things are considered. a.k.a. Cost for mods, weight differences, handleing difference, etc. Ohh and the C5 in question would have to be a coupe targa top! Lets Hear it!

The first time you mod a vette with you doing the labor, you will wish you had an F-body. This is in addition to the vette tax for some of the mods.

Couldn't of said it any better!!!! I used to want a vette instead of my f-body until I started woking on them. Seems like more stuff has to be removed to get access to anything on vettes. On f-bobies it's easier to access stuff but just in tighter spaces without removing a bunch of stuff.

C5 is in a different league from the F-body, it all depends on what you're looking for, both have their purpose.

Just an FYI you can fix that clutch pedal issue easily. Mine did the same thing and now it works great.

TA is easier to mod by far but the vette has the handling hands down. I know because I own both cars. My vette is just a bolton car since it's so hard to change cams in. The steering rack is a pain in the *** to take out.

Easy, Ws6, Although I have kids that like to go racing with me, so the back seat is required!

So a cam swap in a vette is more difficult? Why is that? Sorry, I've never worked on a vette or read any of the installs for them.

But then again, you can put a whipple or Kenne bell on a vette and a set of headers and call it a day.

I think so because just to get the damper off you have to remove the steering rack. That is no easy chore. I had to change my damper when I first got the car and it really sucked. After the rack is removed then it's pretty much just like the F body. I put LTs on my vette and that was even a bitch compared to my trans am. The only downfall of working on the F body is when ya have to pull the heads. The engine sets up under the dash more on the F body than the vette does.

I hear ya man, I have both cars and the vette is just plain evil in the handling department. It feels like a big gokart.

I didn't realize that you had to remove the steering rack to remove the crank pulley. The first time I had the pulley off I'd swap to a 2-peice timing cover for sure.
