Default Alternator Power Wire Problems!

I am needing some help if possible. I just had my volt gauge drop last week and thought it may have been my brand new alternator and when I removed the 13mm power wire on top I noticed it easily just came out of the socket and was very brittle. I put a new piece on the end and put a lighter to the end to melt the plastic and its been at 14 volts ever since I fixed the problem. Today I left work and got into WOT and the gauge immediately dropped to 10 volts as it did before. I know it came loose again. So I know my problem but can anyone suggest any better methods of holding the wrap tighter once i clamp down on the wires? Here is a picture of the part I am speaking of. Thanks

Anyone have any ideas how to make the plug stronger or am I able to replace it with a new longer version? Thanks

Im not sure how this is used with an electrical connection though. I heat shrinked the connection last time but obviously it came loose and is now causing me problems.
