Default Paper stuck in VIN plate location

Ok this is kinda rediculous, but I had a piece of paper about 1 inch x 1 inch on the dash of my 99 z28 for a parking garage, and somehow the paper slipped down into where the VIN is on the dash and is now blocking half of the VIN number. At first I thought I could just grab it, but I didn't realize that that portion of the dash is tucked underneath the windshield and you cannot get your hand under there except a tiny tiny bit. How the hell do I get this thing out of there? any suggestions? I was thinking maybe I could get a tweaser (sp?) under there and try to grab it, but I'm kinda afraid I am going to crack the dash or the windshield.

take a wash cloth or a small towel and swipe it past the paper to see if it will grab it.

Have you pulled the dash pad out of there to see if you can get to it a little easier? gently lift the front of the pad all teh way across but be careful, there are several clips to make sure you get, if you pull up in just one place you will break it. The back half of it is just velcro'd down once you get the clips up in the front

I am not wanting to mess with the dash pad as it is not cracked yet... and you can't get a wash cloth over it. I never had a car where you can't touch where the vin is on the dash.

I thought of a shop vac, but I don't think theres enough room to suck it out, check this out on your cars there is like no leeway to get anything in there. Coat hanger may work if I can pierce the paper

A long cake icing spatula would work great. http://www.shopbakersnook.com/upload...s/1388.jpg?e=1

Its actually very usefully in the shop. (Don't tell my wife.)
