New Racetronic fuel pump problem, please help.
I took my car to the dyno yesterday with the new #30 injectors but all was loss. I have had the Racetronic pump and hotwie kit for about 4 months but only have about 500 miles on it. The pressure always read 60 but when I started it to drive to the dyno it was reading 55psi. Before getting on we went out with the tuner to adjust a few things and when I would hit full throttle it would dip down to 30 psi as soon as I hit 4k RPMs. We changed the filter and checked all lines and double checked power to the pump and all checked out fine. Then on the way home I filled the car up and the pressure was 59psi and at full throttle it would on only dip to 50psi. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

It is starting to sound like the pump is going out. I have the racetronix kit and pump and when I had it put it it was dead consistent for awhile. It would hold pressure at about 58-59. Then I put about 500-1000 miles on it and when you get on it it will go down to about 45-50 or a little lower. I am getting so sick of putting in new pumps all the time. This is the second Racetronix pump I have put in!!. ARGH!!!!!!!!!. Your situation sounds a lot like mine.

Racetronix install MUST READ!!
UPDATE I took the pump out tonight and here is what I found. First off I paid to have this done by a professional speed shop whos name at this time I will withhold. The black rubber boot that the pump sits in is supposed to be cut down length wise. The boot was cut circumferentially instead!! This is where the problem is. The boot holds the pump up in the bucket. When the boot was cut circumferentially it allowed the pump to slide down into the bucket resting on the flat surface, choking out the input of the pump. The problem is the boot is destroyed and I dont know if I can buy one seperate from the assembly. If you paid a pro to do this and you are having troubles it may be the same thing.
