Embry-Riddle U. Good flight school. Good luck in aviation. I'm a CFI up here in the Twin Cities. Anyways, with 5k left in the budget, just do the H/C, and new rear end. 5k won't cover everything you'll need for a 408 conversion. The shortblock is 3600.

Hey, I went to SIU for a year. Got my commercial down there. You know a guy named Rick Doolittle? He was my CFI. Yes, Embry-Riddle is the biggest rip-off for aviation schools.

Thanks guys.
and for the SIU guys. I dont remember ever hearing your team ranked on the Fight Team Standings... I really like the program down here. I'm gonna join ROTC and Flight Team in the Fall. But, yes its expensive.

I think im gonna spend about 2500 on a nice H/C combo and then the guy i bought the car from is gonna get me a dry kit for pretty cheap. There are a few things i need to do to it also. It needs some LCA relocation and i wanna get rid of the ABS module since it doesnt work right. maybe soem QA1's. and I need tires... Imagine that.

Yea those donut lines looked like your in front of the engineering building! NICE. I go to ERAU also and It is not a rip at all the way I am doing it? I am at an extended campus and about to graduate. Classes are a fraction of the cost and I will have an aviation degree from the same school and I am doing all my flight ratings here also to save money. Riddle was cool but one semester at main campus was enough for me.
As for the car, its sweet man. Very pretty. I'd wait a while so you kno you arent gonna have problems, specially since hot rods eat money. Atleast keep a grand back if you can so if you have to buy a trans or fix a window motor or AC goes out or whatever. Trust me, I have had one for a daily driver and now I have enough money in one to buy a nice plane! lol.
P.S. What Spec clutch is it? and how many miles are on it?
On another note. MODS!
I'd put a set of really good heads and a cam at the same time. Such as Trick Flows, AFR, ETperformance and somethin Around 230 duration with a 580-620 lift. Then IMO you are torn...
BC you will need a rear but you could benefit greatly from FAST intake and good throttle body. However, if you want to put that power down (Sticky tire) you will most definately need a rear. Seeing as how much ERMCA guys love meetin up every week (still on thursdays?), you just got a new toy, and they go to gainsville as often as they do!
1. H/C and parts dont be cheap on things that go with it... (DO THIS PART ONCE AND RIGHT) you'll be glad
2. Rear end Moser 12 bolt or 9 inch
