Default Emissions testing changes in MA

Looks like there will be some changes coming in MA soon. A friend of mine owns an inspection station. He said that pre-'96 cars will only receive a safety test as of August. I guess the rollers will be coming out of stations and they will only be plugging them in to make sure everything is ok. This _might_ make life a little easier

Oh cool. I was worried they'd be doing sniffers on OBDII.

How you been? Haven't seen you on here in a while.

Doing pretty good. Had to take care of some personal issues and working on moving to a new location in Fall River. Should be settled there in the next few weeks.

I was told October...August would be even better, but I'm fine with either one...my 95 Impala will easily pass a safety inspection...will probably pass emissions, but I hate letting some retard drive it on the rollers...I'm sure plenty of the people doing inspections are fine, but some of them aren't qualified to drive a golf cart.

tahts great news! that will help out all the small local garages that had to get out of the inspection business because they coudlnt justify the space or money for all the dyno equipment.

Thanks for the welcome guys! I'll be reopening the week of July 7th or the 14th. Bought a place in Fall River. It's just off routes 195 and 79. A much better drive than going down to Horseneck Beach. Some info is posted on the website. That will be updated soon.
