232/234 .595/.598 cam anyone?
Any A-4 guys running this cam? Just curious to what you thought of it... I've already bought it and have a 3600 to go in the car as well. Just not sure what to expect, I havn't drove the car in a couple months, and it only had a few bolt ons then..

I used to run one on a 112 LSA. Made 410/351 with it, but had a hard time getting it tuned in. - My fault, not the cam's...lol
I ended up swapping for a slightly smaller duration 227/232 111+2, higher lift .610/.604 which made 410/362...and finally ...eventually anyway, learned how to tune idle.
If I knew as much at the time as I know now about cams, I would have simply advanced the cam I had to a 110ICL and left it in there. The main reason I changed was because I thought it was too soft in the TQ department and a couple of degrees advance would have helped it out tremendously. But oh well...hindsight and all that.

Awesome, how streetable was the cam? I've got the tune taken car of, the guy's gonna send me a tune to break the car in with, then I'm gonna take it to his shop and he's gonna spend a few hours on a part-throttle tune.

Im with him since we have the same cam from the same shop with pretty matching cars, make sure you have intake and ported tb since his numbers are alot better than mine. Extremely streetable. Now that its summer i hardly notice the cam, but in the winter of course it just sounds a little meaner.

peak numbers are great for imports, but if your looking for great street ability and under the curve power that should be a great combination. A friend fo mine has a 98 Z-28 with a 4000 stall, 224R Cam, LID, LT'S, true duals, and BFG Drag Radials. Car runs great but the stall is a little steep for under the curve power, but if he had a MS4 cam then a 4000 stall would workout alot better because of his powerband. You should really have a strong car as long as you find a good tuner because i'm battling that right now goodluck

I have a 232/236 112 .585 lift cam with a nice set of decked down heads and made 452/415 before a real tune, this was in an M6 though.
Car is pretty good on the street too, nothing like a stock cam but not hard to drive.

The LS6 intake is covered, it's an 01. But I'll have to port the tb before i get the tune. I've already sent the guy my tune and he's gonna send it back after he makes some changes so I can break the car in... I just got the LC-1 kit and already have hp tuners so I'll prob. play with getting the A/f close but I'll be taking it to him to tweak it up for the driveability. Glad to see everyone likes it though... I've been trying to find some good videos but most of them are 6-spd's or Idle vids.. Anyone have a good one?

Cam only on a LQ9 with the stock 3rd gen Y pipe and 2.5 inch exhaust I made 290RWHP and 360-70RWTQ (don't remember off hand).
Do yourself a favor and make sure you have FULL exhaust first lol, the builders thought the larger engine would make better use of it but on 113+3 LSA at 232/234 .595/.598 and a 110 ICL....Having stock exhaust killed my numbers. The 3k stall didn't help either, but with slicks it feels like their is enough power to pop my windshield and twist the uni-body or pull a front tire.
Also this is in my former DD 1989 firebird with 3.73s which achieved 23mpg with several 100+ MPH runs.
